Conference on Hydropower and Water Management
Ljubljana, 26/27 March 2013. Organised by Slovenia and the ICPDR, a conference on hydropower and water management will be held where draft guiding principles will be discussed with a broader audience, accompanied by presentations on practical examples for the application.

2013: UN International Year on Water Cooperation launched
Paris, 11 Feb 2013. In December 2010, the United Nations General Assembly declared 2013 as the United Nations International Year of Water Cooperation. A UNESCO-organised conference now marked the official launch of this year of celebration.

Sustainable waterway planning: Platina Manual in Croatian
Osijek, 11 Feb 2012. The recent publication of a Croatian version of the PLATINA Manual is a major step in promoting good practices in inland navigation and waterway planning. The manual can be downloaded below.

Public Participation Schedule WFD & FD
Vienna, 19 Dec 2018. According to Art. 14 of the Water Framework Directive, public participation in drafting River Basin Management Plans needs to be ensured. The ICPDR now provides a blue print for Public Participation activities for the development of the third Danube River Basin Management Plan (3rd DRBMP) until 2021 and the second Danube River Basin Flood Risk Management Plan (2nd FRMP).

15th Ordinary Meeting in Vienna
