Upcoming Online Workshop on Sewage Sludge Management in the Danube Region – A Green Week 2025 Event
The Danube Strategy Priority Area on Water Quality (EUSDR PA4), together with the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) as co-conveners, are pleased to announce an upcoming online workshop on sewage sludge management, taking place on 20 June 2025, from 10:00 to 13:00 CEST.
Organised under the umbrella of EU Green Week 2025, this three-hour event will provide a platform to explore the current state of sewage sludge management in Europe, with a particular focus on the Danube Region. The agenda includes a keynote address from DG Environment, regional and national perspectives (including both EU and non-EU countries), and practical insights from utilities operating in the field.
The workshop targets sludge and wastewater experts, policy makers, and water professionals from across the Danube Region. Members of relevant EUSDR Steering Groups and other interested stakeholders are warmly invited to join the discussion.
