Danube Art Master Competition 2025: International Winners Announced
VIENNA, 16 December 2025 – The International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) proudly announced the winners of the 2025 Danube Art Master competition during its 28th Ordinary Meeting, held 11-12 December at the Vienna International Centre.
The award ceremony honoured the international winners in each competition category, with Susanne Brandstetter, Chairperson of the ICPDR’s Public Participation Expert Group, presenting the awards. She praised the imagination and dedication of the participants, saying, “Year after year, these young artists show us that the Danube is more than a river; it is a shared future. Their creativity and care for the environment remind us that protecting our waters is not only urgent but deeply meaningful. The younger generation is already leading the way.”
Held under the theme “Our Danube, Our Future,” the 2025 competition invited children and teenagers from across the Danube River Basin to reflect on their local rivers and express their visions for a sustainable future.
