Using footage filmed for the award-winning documentary, the ICPDR has produced a film clip that showcases the beauty and diversity of the Danube River. The film clip also demonstrates the work of the Danube countries through the ICPDR.

Bucharest, 28 Oct 2013. The "Sturgeon 2020", a strategy and program for the protection and rehabilitation of the Danube sturgeons, was published by the Danube Sturgeon Task Force.

Bucharest, 5-6 November 2012. The Danube and Tisza River Basin Management Plans require a dialogue between stakeholders from the agricultural and water management sectors. Melbourne, 9 October 2012. The Willamette River Initiative of Oregon, USA, was awarded the 2012 Thiess International Riverprize for excellence in river management by the International River Foundation (IRF).

Regensburg, 27/28 November 2012. The first Annual Forum on the EU Strategy for the Danube Region will take place in Regensburg on 27 and 28 November 2012. It will deal with the question of how the Danube Region can help to build a more competitive Europe.

Danube Basin, 29 June 2007. The rich and varied history and traditions of the countries sharing the Danube River Basin will be at the heart of festivities marking the fourth annual International Danube Day (June 29).



Under the theme, ‘Celebrating Danube Cultures’, a large number of educational, entertainment and recreational activities will be held this week to commemorate the anniversary of the Danube River Protection Convention.
