From Uzhhorod to Odesa: Ukraine's ICPDR Presidency Keeps the Water Agenda Moving
Barely a month after hosting the 24th ICPDR Standing Working Group Meeting in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, brought the Danube community together again. On July 24th, Ukraine hosted its 6th National Participation Day in Odesa as part of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). The event highlighted the alignment between the priorities of Ukraine’s ICPDR Presidency and the country’s path towards EU membership.

Workshop seeks to close science-policy gap in water management
Vienna, 7 April 2016. In the frame of the MARS project, a group of 60 river basin managers, Water Framework Directive officials, European Environment Agency representatives, external experts and MARS aquatic scientists met to discuss the key challenges for freshwater management and policy across Europe.

Germany wins International Danube Art Master Competition
Vienna, 14 October 2005. ICPDR President 2005 István Őri announced the winner of the International Danube Art Master Competition in Budapest: A German School (6 A, Secondary School "Auf der Schanz") wins the competition, which made part of the Danube Day celebrations 2005. As in 2004, this competition was carried out jointly by the ICPDR and the Danube Environmental Forum in all 13 Danube countries.
