Moldova is the winner of the International Danube Art Master Competition 2018
VIENNA, 29 October 2018 (Press Release) - The winner of the ‘International Danube Art Master 2018’ competition is 17-year-old Ion Zatic of Moldova, announced Susanne Brandstetter, Chairperson of the Public Participation Expert Group of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR). The Public Participation Expert Group is responsible for promoting the Danube Art Master initiative in the Danube River Basin. The second and third winners are Austria followed by Serbia.

Germany takes over ICPDR Presidency for 2018 from the European Union

As Germany takes over the annual Presidency of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) today, incoming President Helge Wendenburg has set three main priorities for his term: promote adaptation to climate change in the Danube River Basin, take the next steps in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and the Flood Directive (FD), and further strengthen the integrated approach of ICPDR and the basin-wide exchange of experiences. -
ICPDR convenes 20th annual ordinary meeting
On Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December 2017, the ICPDR held its 20th Ordinary Meeting in Vienna. Beside the heads of delegation and representatives of 13 of the contracting parties to the ICPDR, around 85 participants from all Danube countries, observers and invited guests attended this important event.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Wins International Danube Art Master 2017 Competition
VIENNA, 10 October 2017 – A secondary school in Bosnia and Herzegovina has won the ‘International Danube Art Master 2017’ competition. The winner was announced by Susanne Brandstetter, Chairperson of the Public Participation Expert Group of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) at the House of the European Union in Vienna on 9 October.
