Danube Basin, 29 June 2015. Tens of thousands of people are joining in to celebrate Danube Day 2015 in the spirit of "Get active!". A cheerful occasion that highlights by how much the health of rivers in the Danube Basin has improved in the past 20 years.

Zagreb, 3 June 2015. The intense phase of public consultation on the Danube River Basin Management Plan Update 2015 and the 1st Flood Risk Management Plan for the DRB has started.

Eight Danube countries participated in a specialised course to learn methods of
analysing biological quality elements that would be compliant with the EU Water
Framework Directive. Sharing this information ensures that all countries across
the basin can reach the goals of the directive.

A recently completed survey of the Danube Delta region will significantly improve
knowledge about water quality, the environment, current management
of water resources and human activities in the region.
