Earth Day celebrated at Danube
Earth, 22 April 2013. „Earth Day“ is celebrated all around the World, including many places in the Danube River Basin. Highlighting the responsibility that all people share for the well-being of our planet, many events are also dedicated to the condition of water. The Serbian “Supernatural Festival” demonstrated this.

International co-operation for healthy rivers in Europe
Vienna, 27 February 2012. The ICPDR and the International River Foundation (IRF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in programmes and activities that promote and strengthen efforts towards good river basin management in Europe and throughout the world.

Massive floods in summer 2010
Danube Basin, 1 September 2010. This summer, the Danube basin was repeatedly deluged by torrential rains causing massive floods. Across the basin people were forced from their homes, and many houses collapsed or were damaged due to floods or landslides after flood events.
