Danube Basin, 29 June 2015. Tens of thousands of people are joining in to celebrate Danube Day 2015 in the spirit of "Get active!". A cheerful occasion that highlights by how much the health of rivers in the Danube Basin has improved in the past 20 years.

Zagreb, 3 June 2015. The intense phase of public consultation on the Danube River Basin Management Plan Update 2015 and the 1st Flood Risk Management Plan for the DRB has started.

Vienna, 11 March 2008 - The first-ever `Joint Statement on Guiding Principles for the Development of Inland Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Danube River Basin´ was launched today. The interdisciplinary process to create the Joint Statement was led by the ICPDR, the Danube Commission on Navigation and the International Commission for the Sava River Basin.

Vienna, 10 March 2008 - The first international system for forecasting Danube floods and providing an early flood warning was launched today by the ICPDR and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.
The new system will provide the national authorities of countries in the Danube River Basin with up to 10 days to prepare for large floods.
