On 19-20th January 2021, the ICPDR co-hosted an online workshop on rural wastewater management with the World Bank and the Danube Water Program.

VIENNA, 17 September – At yesterday's State of the Union address, Ursula von der Leyen – President of the European Commission – outlined a vision for Europe to emerge stronger than ever from 2020's pandemic crisis. NextGenerationEU is a new kind of recovery plan; a once in a lifetime opportunity for change, with a focus on becoming green, digital and more resilient.

VIENNA, 17 March 2020 – Following recent developments of the coronavirus, and in line with both the measures taken by the Austrian authorities, and the advice from the Vienna International Centre Medical Service, I have instructed all staff of the ICPDR Secretariat to work from home.

Vienna, 25 January 2016. Peter J. Kalas of the Czech Republic is ICPDR President 2016. He took over from Croatia’s Drazen Kurecic in a meeting and ceremony in Vienna today.

Vienna, 9 February 2016. Cleaner, healthier and safer waters for everyone to enjoy - this is the objective of two management plans for the Danube River Basin that were endorsed in Vienna today. The management plans foresee measures that will be implemented over a six-year period until 2021.

Ulm, 29/30 October 2015. The ICPDR will contribute to the 4th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region through a number of activities. These include a workshop on the River Basin Management Plan, an exhibition stand and contributions to different workshops hosted by other organisations.
