Pressures & Measures Expert Group
The Pressures and Measures Expert Group (PM EG) deals with pollution-related pressures, identifies the drivers behind them and recommends measures to address pollution sources.
The Pressures and Measures Expert Group (PM EG) identifies the causes of pollution-related pressures and promotes measures to address them. Harmonising the work of the ICPDR with the relevant EU Directives and policies (e.g. Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, Nitrates Directive, Industrial Emissions Directive, Common Agricultural Policy, Zero Pollution Action Plan) is another important task. This Expert Group co-develops the Joint Programme of Measures every six years, which is part of the Danube River Basin Management Plans. The Nutrients Task Group works under the auspices of the PM EG and reports to it.
