The Third Meeting on the follow-up of the "Joint Statement on Inland Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Danube River Basin" will take place in Vienna, Austria on 5 and 6 April 2011.

The meeting will focus on the progress in implementation of the Joint Statement on Inland Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Danube River Basin. Presentations on the PLATINA Project and future EU projects in support of the Joint Statement will be made. A discussion on the Danube Strategy and the implications for navigation will be held.

Instructions for participants

If you will attend the meeting and would like to give a presentation, please inform the ICPDR secretariat at icpdr@unvienna.org and we will try to accommodate it if appropriate. The final agenda will be sent to participants by the end of February.

The meeting will be held at the Vienna International Centre, M-Building, Meeting Room M2, Wagramer Strasse 5, A-1220 Vienna, Austria.

In order to obtain your identity badge from the UN Security Services, you will be asked to present a valid passport or national identity card. Please go directly to the pass office at Gate 1 to get your badge.

Please be informed that the ICPDR has made a block hotel booking for participants at the ETAP Hotel Wien Messe, Lassallestrasse 7a, A-1020 Vienna. Special fee: 53 Euro (including breakfast, room without breakfast: 47 Euro).

Please inform us as soon as possible, latest by 28 February 2011 if we shall arrange accommodation for you at the ETAP Hotel. Otherwise, the rooms cannot be guaranteed. In order to confirm your reservation, kindly be advised that we also need your credit card details.

Please reserve the dates for participation in this meeting. Registration forms can be obtained by e-mail from the secretariat, registrations are open until 15 March 2011.
